I just found this car for very good price.

 

1995 1.6 automatic

 

What engine is it TU? XU?

Almost definately should be an XU, same car as my mum has only a year newer & that certainly has an XU engine.

 

Possibly BDY engine code but I can check when I'm next at my mums if you need me to.

XU. I've got an earlier one at the moment which is Carb, XU51C; but yours will be Cat/Inj, so XU5M iirc (BDY as Graham says).

There's a starter for 10 link in my sig.

They are all codes for Malaysian 205's & the list doesn't include the UK spec XU9JA or the actual code for the XU5J or XU5JA.
