Top Speed Of A 1.9 205 Wit 1.6 Gearbox?

going to a track day at Nants in france which has a 1km straight. can either take the 205 mi16 with 1.9 box and mi final drive and mi ecu or take a 1.9 8v with a 1.6 box. bit worried about the straight and engine revs. any idea what the top speed will be on these cars, and if i will run out of revs on a straight that long?

Take the MI- My 1.9/1.6 arrangement hits the limiter in 5th so easily it's frustrating!

Roughly 130. Depends how strong your 1.9 lump is.

Not on a 1.6 box as you'll hit the limiter somewhere around 123mph@6500rpm

 

Mind you, the Mi16 with 1.9/Mi FD combo isn't going to be much better and will top out around 126mph@7200rpm

From personal experience 1.9 8V on 1.6 box at max revs of 6500rpm equals 122mph.

had 2 of my 1600 boxd 1.9s at 130mph at around 6750 but the speedos aint the most accurate

i have just bought a 1.9 with 1.9 box so i think i will take that instead.

Stick the 1.6 box on the Mi. Nice and revvy with a decent 135ish tops which it should be able to get to in no time.
