2 Water Channel Holes Behind Inlet Manifold.

Recommended Posts

Just stripped the ignition and intake off the 1.6 to clean up. Behind the intake manifold there are two water channels, bit surprising I'm sure they are normal right?

Is it worth getting a standard inlet manifold gasket or is there a better gasket I should get considering I'll be upping to lpg soon.

the holes are normal. Use a genuine pug gasket, Ive always found aftermarket ones dont last long.

yep, I'll second that.

I had a bit of a coolant leak from this area when I first bought my 1.9 gti. My mechanic checked it out straight away and it seems that some mug had not put a gasket in at all :)

An OEM one in now and no leaks for 10K km
