Induction Kit Placement (and Any Pics?)

ive tried a search but couldnt find exactly what i was looking for.

 

im just wonering where all you guys have your induction kit in the engine bay

 

i have a k&n 57i on my gti when i got it, but it placed basically on top of the dizzy, right next to the head where it must be suffering from heat soak surely!!

 

can any one reccomend a better route for the filter?? or show me any pics??

I think thats the general idea with regards to placement, with a decent cold air feed coming from the grille.
