Guest zeddy Posted January 9, 2007 Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between two gearboxes I have? One has 9EW stamped on the bellhousing and the other has 11EW on it. They should be from an XS with the 4.3 diff. I know the 9EW is correct, is the 11EW just another version? There are three more bolt holes in the 11EW one and a slightly different shape to the window you adjust the timing through. Thanks in advance for any help Isaac
axnutty 10 Posted January 10, 2007 This is on the MA box is it? I could be wrong as Im used to them on Citroens - but maybe they are the same codes??? But I always thought they were a 5digit code like 2CA01 for instance?
Guest zeddy Posted January 10, 2007 (edited) Yes there is a code on the one marked 11EW. It is 2CA97. I can't read the code on the other one. Does this mean anything to anyone. Thanks Edited January 10, 2007 by zeddy

Guest zeddy Posted January 10, 2007 Thanks for the information. I just managed to find out the same info from a Suzuki website strangely. It lists all the codes and ratios, very informative.
