4x Rgx, 4x Rgy Pistons (where To Get It?)

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I'am rebuilding two engine, first one a RGX-engine, second one a RGY-engine (both 2l turbo, one with dished pistons, one with flattops pistons). ;)

The company who bored the cylinders say, Mahle, KS and one other unknown company hasn´t got this pistons.

Did anybody know where I can get these pistons for 0,25mm bored cylinders?

:(

Cheers

which has the dish, i'm guessing its the RGY because it runs lower compression?

Flat-Top is RGY

with dish is RGX.

There aren´t aftermarket "standard" pistons availble? ;)

Why not just check Peugeot or Citroen?

well thats not what i would have expected, peugeot must have been trying to improve off boost performance with squish (or something equally technical ;) ) in in the higher comp version... maybe

I need 86,25mm :(

A good rule of thumb is to get the pistons first, and then get the block bored afterwards :(

Hello,

In french forums, the fashion now is to put Wossner piston. They are mostly in 86,5. They are around 700 euros in France.

Here a post for used ones.

I just asked now for custommade ones directly at Wiseco, Greenspeed and JE-Pistons.
