Higgy

If you have the Mi oil cooler/heat exchanger pipes (and your not actually using it on the engine) then you can use one of them. I had the same splitting pipe problem.

I was surprised to find they were green after I clean all the cr*p off :D

A lot of Pug/Cit engines seem to use the oil cooler (e.g. ZX diesel) so they might have similar length/shape pipe?

Higgy.

I too have an issue with the Mi16 filler hose for my 205mi

Basically the hose that goes from the bottom of the filler cap to the engine block seems so hard to get hold off, i dont think citroen (bX16v) do them. niether does neatautos!

Am i right in assuming that when the car is running this pipe has lots of oil in it? or is it literally just a filler pipe with no other function?

I seem to have some oil on the sump, though no puddles or patches on the floor, so i dont know whats happening and where it is coming from. My friend said french cars are generally dirty like this with oil deposits on sumps etc.

I am thinking of taping up the pipe and maybe a new jubilee clip. The pipe looks old, but has no tears or splits.

Thanks Duroc!

Is it normal to see a slightly greasy sump though?

I will contact miles as soon as i get some money together!

Does anyone know if when the engine is running does this pipe leak oil because of greater oil pressure?

Later I'll post up the part numbers (and prices)...

Only the big pipe (with the small tee in it) from the bottom of the filler (oil pot) to the block remains available. The pipe from the side of it upwards is NFP (No Further Production), as is the other smaller pipe that goes down to the smaller spigot on the block.

The big pipe is Part. No. 1180 45 and cost £34.

That is a Citroen part No. but should be recognisable to a Pug dealer as well.

Jim You are the main man!

Thanks!

The bottom pipe is the one that i want. However what i have done in the weekend was to clean the area around the pipe and the sump and now i will drive the car and see where the oil is leaking from. Once i am certain it is that pipe then I can buy it.

Thanks!

That's the one Rocky :D

Pop into your local Citroen dealer and hit him with the part number. It'll either turn up next bay or take a while longer depending on stock being in the UK or France.

I've been waiting ages for a very specialised bit for my Activa. It'll turn up one day :P

i could nt afford a new pipe at the time of my rebuild project.what i did is got my mate to make me a t-piece like a dump valve t-piece.i joined it with a small length of hose at the bottom and used a radiator pipe (its not a 205 one it was from a scapy) for the top bit.its perfect for now any way

The hose fitted to the later 205 single point injection automatics is very similar to the Mi one & could still be available from Pug.

Part number is 1180 25 but no idea on a price. Also good for fitting carbs or TB's on the 8v engine. :)

Graham.
