Guest santos2001uk Posted December 4, 2006 (edited) im afraid im doing the turbo swap and am at the part where i need to know wat engine mount to use. My engine looks offset to the mount. This is the front left mount. the engine is on a jack at the moment!! Firstly, the engine code has been rubbed off so dont know wat i have at all. Ive seen two types of mount a straight one which is straight across - an alloy number and the others are at an angle. i can guess which one i need( the one with an angle!) but is it the mi16 or the 306 xsi one. i guess the 306 but dont want to waste my money. also wat alternater can i use - off a 306 also or the Xm one ?? thanks in advance !! sonofsam 5 Posted December 4, 2006 Are you sure the engine code has been rubbed off? I know its very faint on the block in perforated lettering. You should be able to tell the year from whats written on the ECU? The alloy top mount will be from Mi16. The cast 'arm' will be from a 306 XSI or similar. Im using a 205 alternator, belt and pulley.
