Which Type Diff You Turbo People Running?

Recommended Posts

JR20516V

I have been reading where the only way to go on big horsepower Pug motors is to use a plate diff as the ATB type will not be up to the job. Why is that??

What are you turbo boys running?

Where does one purchase a Kaaz plate diff and is it cheaper to buy from the USA

Any help on buying would be great......

So many questions......so little time !!

Cheers

What level of power are you looking to run? I have 170ish bhp and find that my Quaife ATB diff copes with that easily...

I am safe to go to 300-ish but will stay around 250 for driveability sakes.

Sounds fun :)

The only thing i'd suggest is ringing someone like Quaife and asking them how high their ATB is rated.

Quaife is rated at less than 200 lb/ft... Although like Saveloy says most people have run them on higher powered cars with no problems. Id go plated though with that much potential power.

200ish on standard dif, lots of fun, no problems yet, but will be getting a ATB dif in the summer.

Most of the ratings are on the low side to protect the companies. Helix only rate their 200mm GrpN clutch at 150lbs/ft yet it's standard equipment on 165lbs/ft TT's.

BE1 or BE3 the Diff's are all the same, But as your in Australia would Japen be the easiest route?

You are right....Japan would be the best route however if i dont have a part no. to go on it makes it very hard buying from the Japanese.

I can hear it now"isnt a BE1 a bomber...so sooorry we not sell aircraft parts!" lol

I think i may even have similar problems with the USA [as they are not ofay with Peugeots ]however if i have a Kaaz part number for a BE1 box then i simply just order using the number.

Any other method i could end up with one for a.....Honda or something !! Its a long way to try and return a heavy diff.

Hope that helps explain my situation, cheers again , John

Maybe these can help you, they seem to be more to Kaaz's other products but who knows

Kaaz Australia

2 Woodbine Crt Wantirna VIC 3152

Its amazing what 2mins on a search engine can find. Kaaz seem to be well known in Australia within the drifting scene so I am sure you can source one easily.
