Can someone just indentify this sender please, I believe it's an Oil Pressure sender from an Mi16 but it MAY be the Oil Pressure Light (i.e. low pressure) sender...

Will do, though there is an obvious difference between the Oil Pressure Gauge sender and the Oil Pressure (low) sender as pictures here:

Question is, which is which?!

It's not the gauge pressure sender from a Mi16 and it's not the same as the pressure switch on my Mi (mine has a green plastic cover.

But it does look like a low pressure switch.

The bigger one is the gauge pressure sender. :)

So it must be the low pressure warning light sender then... oops, advertised it as the pressure gauge sender!

8v you say... I would have thought it didn't matter if it were 8v or 16v?!

It's on all XU9 engines and is as you say for the oil-pressure warning light.
