Has Anyone Got The Part Number For

im after the part number for the bleed screw that goes in the thermostat housing on the gti6 engine

can anyone help on this one

Bolt = 1306 29

Washer = 1339 78

 

I'd just use a regular 6mm bolt as the original is plastic and snaps annoyingly easily.

surely it must be easier to bleed the system with the correct plastic bolt ?

I remove the bolt completely until coolant flows out & then refit it so I doubt it'll make any difference. I've bled the cooling system on cars with snapped plastic bleed screws by removing the pipe from the T & they've all been fine.

BTW, if you just remove the bolt as said above, and open the exp tank cap they tend to bleed automatically. I've emptied and refilled mine at least 6 times this past year and never had to bleed the system :wacko:
