de Noir 0 Posted September 28, 2006 (edited) Is someone in the know, do 205's have somekind of plastic inner wing protection assembly, P-306 like? (as I haven't seen it on either of my two GTIs) Edited September 28, 2006 by MH_
Grim.Badger 15 Posted September 28, 2006 My old diesel had plasic panels that extended down from the bottom of the inner arches if that's what you mean, sort of splash guard things They used to flap about after breaking away from the lower fixing points. I'm not sure if my GTi ever had them, but it doesn't now.
de Noir 0 Posted September 28, 2006 I mean plastic inner wing covers, not mudflaps.

Grim.Badger 15 Posted September 28, 2006 I mean plastic inner wing covers, not mudflaps. No I didn't mean mudflaps They go in between the wheel and the engine compartment. Link TT205 shows a picture of the inside of his wheel arch on the page linked above, the plastic thing can be seen to the right of the brake caliper, shielding off the engine compartment. Paintguy 0 Posted September 28, 2006 As above Mario, they don't have a full liner as most cars do, just the small shields between wheel arch and engine bay areas, as in the link.
de Noir 0 Posted September 28, 2006 Well, I thought so... Yesterday I took a look under the wings, I guess there must have been a kilo of mud on each side, this narrow space between wing and chasis is very dirt attracting indeed!
