Jetting 48's For A Gti6 Engine

Recommended Posts

crf450

I've got roped into helping one of my mates with his 6 engine conversion in his 205, he's fitting 48's and we were wondering if anyone could recommend a starting point for jetting, the carbs are suppose to set up for a Mi at the moment but do appear to be set very rich even for the six engine, before anyone suggest it we do know it will need setting up properly eventually but he's blown all his cash on the conversion for now and we just want to get it something like,

Cheers Martin

not sure if you have dhla or dcoe carbs Martin.

But rough guess 40-42mm chokes

165 mains

emulsion tubes as they are most are middle range anyhow.

190 airs

40 pump

aux venturi should be ok as most people do not swop these and they seem to work with a number of sins.

Use a wideband O2 sensor to check settings before any hard use.

Make sure you haven't got drilled jets before buying new.

Cheers Andy
