Beware........it May Not Be The Bushes!

On the way home from Cadwell park after a trackday my car was pulling right under power and left when I backed off. I had worn my tyres past the legal limit so I fitted my spare plus another for the journey home (spare on the right).

I searched the forum and the common answer was that the ball joints or wishbone bushes were worn. I inspected both wishbones and there didn't seem to be anything wrong bar a split boot of the balljoint on the left one. Cadwell has a long fast right hander which coinsided the split.

Today I fitted a new near side wishbone AND swapped the front wheels (spare on the left), now the car pulls to the left under power!

After a few trials I have found my spare tyre is deformed, maybe from the rear cage being too tight, the tyre has a ridge about a 1/4 width in.

A long story but check your tyres first before buying new bits!! ;)
