Organic Clutch

Recommended Posts

Pug_101

Hi all,

Bought one of these off ebay: "PEUGEOT 205 1.6 1.9 GTi, STAGE 1 ORGANIC FAST ROAD HEAVY DUTY THREE PART CLUTCH KIT."

Received the kit today and was not impressed. I may have been sold a standard kit :)

The only part that has any part numbers is the bearing.

The material looks fairly standard to me, it has a slightly rubbery smell to it.

Can anyone tell how to check the clutch is as advertised

Any help would be great

Thanks

Don't the organic ones have lots of little bits in on the face, as if they were compressed chippings?

>EDIT: this is what mine looked like

(sorry about unfocused pic)

Same with my helix organic they have a wavey pattern to them where a normal plate would be fairly smooth

Upon fitting if the clutch feels just as easy to depress then you also have the standard pressure plate.....you'll know if it's uprated!!

Looking at the clutch plate itself I would describe it as having what looks like strands of copper wire running through it.

Does this sound right?

That´s a Sachs clutch with organic racing pads. I drive this in my turbo-GTI (450NM)...

Oh, mine is somewhat of a different kettle of fish.

Looks very similar to this, from AP. Very very metallic, and a grabby bugger when hot.
