Slight Hesitation Upon Acceleration?

Recommended Posts

Rippthrough

Had ours apart today, it's held on to the right hand side of the throttle body with tamper proof torx screws.

This is because it's not supposed to be removed, but hey. :P

Make sure you scribe lines all the way around it in case you need to refit it to standard, as it can go back in a millon different combinations.

Internally you'll notice its the same system as the AFM on the Mi16's, carbon tracks with multiple prongs (don't touch them, they're very delicate), if it's anything like ours, the carbon will have worn away underneath the prongs. The solution is to just lift (or lower) the cover plate a little when refitting, so that the prongs retrack on fresh carbon. Whatever you do, try not to twist the cover, as otherwise the prongs can drop off the track.

Viola, hesistation free running again.

;)

Because my 1.9 mi16 has a switch for the throttle not a POT and I assumed they were all like that.
