Thats really cool.

I was toying with the idea of putting a computer in the car (not running Windows though) but I couldn't figure out where would be the best place to put the screen. I was thinking of the centre console where the head unit goes, but that looks much better than what I was thinking.

I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures of it all finished and working.

With a GPS adaptor you could probably hack together some sort of route finder with speed camera detection too.

Hmm the posibilities are endless.

Good luck  It looks like your going about it the right way. How are u doing to deal with component shock due to the vibrations?

Can I recommend that you hack together something to make sure you can get PC to run reliably before doing all that work on the dash? E.g. check it is OK with the vibrations and the power supply.

It should be OK, one of the Scoob lads had a full PC running in his with MP3 jukebox etc, always seemd to be OK

For those of you thinking about this.....dont!

They cause more headaches than nights out on the wifebeater!

EDIT: sorry, that sounds really negative in a post about kicks install. Nice work, i just hope you have more luck with software than me!
