But i need to fill them up so was wondering whether to put 225/40/16 tyres on and some spacers??? Is this a good idea or will it drastically effect the handling? sonofsam 5 Posted January 21, 2006 If your going the spacer route,i would use hubcentric ones,so they locate on hub and in wheel,i have a set of 25mm hubcentric ones,gimme a shout if your intersted. some will say it causes wheel wobble at the front due to the sapcers moving the caster angle out and causing torque steer type effects think this has been discussed lots Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

How much do you want for them posted? torque steer etc im not to bothered with as it does that at the mo anyway. suppose ill have to see about wheel wobble. scary about the brakes. is there anyway of getting around it? wheel balance, tracking etc...... I've never once had my wheels removed during an MOT, and it's basically impossible to tell a hubcentric spacer from a non-hubcentric spacer with the wheel still on the car. sonofsam 5 Posted January 21, 2006 Yes 25mm is alot,you may not need them if you have wider wheels,£90 delivered.they come with a set of 16 longer bolts for fitment of after market alloys.ie not flat seated bolts for speedlines shouldnt get wheel wobble with hubcentrics.
