Rs2000 Recaros, One In One To Go! (pics)

Recommended Posts

returnofjim

Been at this all day and finally got one in just before it went dark, my mate give me some escort RS2000 front Recaro seats, I decided to put em in my 205 track car im building. Ive put a link to the pics here http://public.fotki.com/returnofjim/205_track_car/

Anyone whos thinking of doing this themselves I wouldnt recommend it as its a f***ing nightmare!! I had to cut loads off the bottom of the recaros and make a frame out of some angle iron, its nice and strong just takes a while. Good job the recaros come apart very easily.

They look good Jim,good work, why did you have to cut the bottoms of the chair(probally silly question)sorry

Mate of mine has those seats in his Saxo, think he,s had them in his 306dturbo too.he made up some L shape brackets i think out of mild steel sheet and used existing subframes.does help working in a sheet metal factory though..gimme a shout if you need some off-cuts :)

Unusual choice of seat for a 'trackday' car...

The car is mainly going to be used on the road I might go to the odd track outing this year, the seats are very comfortable and supportive, I had to cut loads off the bottoms of the seat or my knees would have been touching the steering wheel :)
