Has anybody ever actually calculated the difference in weight between the glass windows (excluding the windscreen) and 4mm polycarbonate window kits? Also how do most people weigh their cars? Would a weigh bridge be accurate?

Well, according to my engineering data book:

Polycarbonate: Density 1200kg/m^3

Glass (Soda): Density 2480kg/m^3

So they weigh about half as much.

That said, no idea how much the glass in a 205 weighs in the first place.

Thickness difference too though, so they may weigh less/more

yes you will save shed loads of you also lose the winding mechanisms, it's all in the post listed by jon. Cybernck also paraphrased my main weight loss table in a more recently post also
