Jenvey's on standard 1.9 8V

Would there be a noticeable performance gain by fitting Jenvey Throttle bodies to a standard 1.9 8V? It seems like a fairly rare upgrade as they are normally fitted to 16V conversions so was interested to hear peoples opinions. Thanks

You would see a bit more performance but not that much for the relative cost involved. It isn’t just the throttle bodies, it’s the ECU, wiring loom, and then mapping. However, if you were then to do significant other work to the engine, higher compression, head work, performance camshaft, the throttle bodies would allow these other parts to work and so as a package there is better power to be had. The issue as always, it comes down to cost.

Thanks Tom! Sound like a decent upgrade once mapped properly that can then produce more power in the future.

If I’m honest, it’s all about the noise though :D
