Can you identify this?

It has been a long time since my project stalled.

Another money pit car and 18 months recovery from a badly broken leg have been sime of the obstacles in my way.

Now determined to get it finished.

I was fitting a new starter motor this evening and checking all the wiring when I found this wire and couldn't remember where it connects.to.

One end goes in the back of where the engine/gearbox meet.

Can you tell me where it goes and what it is for?

Strange ! I was going to ask the same question…..

the black end goes into the block near the dipstick… but I don’t know where the plug goes, I found in hanging loose under the car….

Not this again!!!!!! It is asked most months.

Its a crank sensor used by a bit of kit Peugeot dealers had back in the day. Its not used by the car. You can remove it if you like.

Oh, I didn't realise it was 'one of those" questions

Cheers, I had a vague memory it wasn't used otherwise I would have reconnected it when I did the engine swap.
