High acceleration

As soon as I start my car the revs shoot right up without even touching the accelerator pedal, Iv checked around the throttle body and it’s closed, it’s opening and closing as it should , tested this with the car off, checked all the hoses and they seem secure, anyone have any advice?

Double/triple check all the air/vacuum hoses ... as that's usually clear sign of a vacuum leak (or someone wound the ignition advance excessively ..)

 

You might've missed the SAD hose which attaches on the bottom of the inlet manifold .. goes at an angle and it's pretty common for it to crack/split round the bend just below the jubilee clip .
