Issues with engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor - Regular 205 (1.4i)

Recommended Posts

Hi.
I have a regular 205 with 1.4i (single point injection). I think the engine model is TU3M.
I think my car ECT sensor is faulty, it's keep feeding the engine with gas even after it's hot and it's cause the engine to stall.
I couldn't find which model of sensor I need and where to buy it.
Start to feel frustrating.

Do you know maybe which type of sensor I need and where I can get it?

Thank you!

I'm not familiar with the 1.4 TU SPI engine, but I'm assuming that it's just the usual 2-pin blue Bosch sensor that's used on GTi's and various 80's and 90's fuel injected European cars?

If so, try Bosch part number 0280 130 026 (or equivalent) that I would imagine shouldn't be too hard to source locally in Israel from a Bosch reseller?

Hi you are right. Blue 2-pin sensor, bosch system.
I thought there is something special in that sensor, now I know it's just a "generic" sensor for cars from that period.
Thank you for the reference I will look for it.
