GTI-6 conversion

Hi guys, i have got an STDT which i plan to put a GTI-6 engine in. Can i use the standard dash loom for the GTI clocks or would i need a GTI loom also? It’s only mainly for the oil temp and pressure gauges.

She’s needs some loving on front end minor innerwing rot.

Thanks.

Loom should work but the tachometer will be wrong.

the STDT and GTi binnacle is the same

but don't know what the GTi6 needs to get a tacho reading

going the other way, from Si (which is petrol and has same loom as GTi) to Turbo Diesel, there were a few obsolete plugs on the petrol loom not req'd for diesel

converting your way the loom might be a few sensors short  ?

Thanks for the reply.

From what i can tell it’s only the oil temp and pressure gauges on the GTi clocks. Could hardwire them in.
