Take-off/port on front of XU10 block - main oil gallery?

Recommended Posts

Hello poppets. Quick sanity check - this port on the front of an XU10 block; is it straight into the main oil gallery? Just contemplating using it for an Accusump rather than having to T into the oil pressure switch/gauge port over to the left. Out of interest, what's it there for from an OE perspective?

That's where the XU10J2TE turbo is taking it's oil but the plug was there before and even on XUD blocks so it could be a blanking plug to hide some machining.

There is no such thing on alloy XU blocks except on the 205 Turbo 16 XU8T engine, on this block if not needed for a turbo it can be left unmachined.
