205007 12 Posted September 24, 2020 So i sent my Be3 1.9 box away for a refurb and the guy called me and said he had one already done on the shelf and he had checked the ratios and they were all the same (in case it was a 1600) When it came it has Be4 stamped on it though so im a bit concerned about putting it in! As far as i can see all the mounting points are the same the bell housing is identical - but the centre part (with the be4 stamp) is different colour Confused ! petert 550 Posted September 24, 2020 (edited) If it’s older 1.6 or 1.9 gears in a later BE4 case, that’s a win for you. As they’re a lot stronger. If the sun gears explode you’ll still ruin it all though. So fit an LSD. Edited September 24, 2020 by petert
SRDT 146 Posted September 25, 2020 The last BE3 had many BE4 parts so you can find a "BE4" case on a stock BE3.
