Gearbox linkage kit

Recommended Posts

Junior1

Hi all,

I'm thinking of upgrading my gear linkage as it was a bit slack before coming off the road. Am I right in thinking I have an MA series box? Its a 4 speed from a 954cc 1990 205. I've seen a few kits online but unsure of quality if anyone could recommend one? Also is there a particular brand of oil those boxes prefer? Cheers!

any decent 75w80 non ep oil will be ok, oem is/was total, they have changed to a straight 75w oil in the last few years which will work in the older boxes,   dealers are reasonably priced.

as for linkages I think miles at pugracing does some to suit your car, possibly baker bm also, I'd only use stuff from those two.

There is a Ø7mm roll pin on the gearbox that's well known to induce play on the lever, 8b on the picture:
