The Citroen BX amnesty!

Hi all,

For a number of reasons (most of them centring around the fact I'm a sad bastard), I have taken on the challenge of creating a register for the Citroen BX. It's backed up by the Citroen Car Club (so it's not a weird personal information gathering session for me!)

In terms of details, I'm going into geek overload. I love a spreadsheet, and can therefore tell you that the average number of days that passed between a BX being built at the factory in Rennes, and the day it was registered in the UK, is 150 (though that does include a car that sat around for four years, between 1992 and 1996 doing sweet FA, but given the number of cars I've got, I'm opting to leave it in). So yeah, you can see how tragic this has already become!

One of the jobs I'm trying to do, is figure out how many BX 16Vs met their fate in order to convert a 205/309 GTi. I have a number on there already, but I'm almost certain it's a long way from being accurate.

I'm wondering if any of you good folk have any records of any BX 16V you've had (or any BX, come to think of it), either by registration or VIN. Though the BX crowd have previously met such conversations with a degree of hostility, I can assure you those days have long passed (well, for me anyway). So, even if you've done unspeakable things to one of my beloved BXs, I won't be funny. I'm purely trying to collect the history, and potentially scrub off a few of the cars I've got down in my 'unknown' column. I have around 200 'valvers' at the moment, and most are unaccounted for.

So yeah, complete no strings attached request for your BX memories/knowledge/history etc....basically anything you can bestow upon me!

Many thanks

Rich
