Daniel306 12 1 Cars Posted May 1, 2020 Iv got 2 wires i cant find where they go and iv missed them in the Haynes manual diagrams, 16 and 36c, There in the boot behind the rear light, And the red plug behind the headlight, whats it for, its not for a GTI so im i ever going to miss it if i cut it out Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Ryan 99 Posted May 1, 2020 The red plug behind the headlamp powers the fan relays on models with twin fans. The normal GTI setup doesn't use it, One pin is switched 12V and the other goes back to the fusebox, but isn't connected to anything else. Should be fine to cut them out if you don't want them.
