Doorcard trim & backing

Recommended Posts

My drivers door card has got wet and warped. Trim is still good. Has anyone successfully removed the trim and Refitted it to a new backing? I would find another card but being green it’s not so easy to come by. So finding a good donor card would be a feasible option if it’s possible.

I've heard if you re-wet them, then leave them sandwiched under suitably heavy weight for a few days they'll flatten out again.

Not tried this myself, but might me an idea before any financial outlay..?

Not a bad idea. Certainly somewhere a bit damp but not somewhere to cause more damage.

Did you get round to trying this out? I've got the same problem with mine.

No as lockdown occurred and the car is in storage. It’s something I do want to try though.
