Anyone tried to use a 206 GTi 180 clutch?

I notice the 206 GTi 180 clutch is 228mm diameter and probably fits inside the BE gearbox housing.

Have anyone tried using it and does anyone know if the standard torque rating of it is significantly more than the Mi16 standard clutch?

I'm not so happy about the jerky ride the 3 puck sinter on the track car feels in operation.

I've been running a 205 1.9 Mi16 supercharged (Eaton M45) for 3 years or so now, and the standard Mi16 clutch has been fine (including trackdays), and it wasn't even new when i did the conversion. Shouldn't  be far off your 270bhp ITB car torque-wise

You need a 306 HDI release bearing to use the 206 clutch on a BE3, you could also use the whole 306 HDI clutch kit.

You also need a flywheel: a 206 "BE4" flywheel with a BE3 gearbox will have the missing tooth offset by 11.5° so you need to tweak your ECU, the 306 HDI flywheel is spot on but needs to be lightened.

Ok. I was considering to use a billet flywheel already lightened like these:

It is on 3rd party management so the timing adjustment would be the easiest part.

But maybe easier to just try a brand new orginal Mi16 clutch then if it can hold 270Nm without problems.

My 1600 turbo makes 210ftlb, standard mi16 clutch is fine.

You can also try the pull type 215 mm clutch, it's a bit better than the push type one.
