Wheel cylinder question...

Recommended Posts

ultimatepug

I’ve got a 1.6 gti on a j plate, I’m replacing the rear shoes drums and cylinders. The rear shoes are girling, (40mm,180mm)

im after some cylinders to match but all I can find are handed/bendix versions.

can anyone point me in the direction of the right ones please as I cannot seem to find them!

Thanks, adam :)

Not sure why you are having a problem to be honest. A quick look on eBay and I quickly found plenty of the right type of cylinder. My local factors have got them for me same day in the past. Mister Auto do a repair set, cylinders shoes springs adjusters all new and pre assembled which makes the job easy! Or final place that’s never let me down, Brakes International in Rochdale, ring them with your reg number and they are very helpful.
