“Find another”, not that I value it that highly, but some collector somewhere may well do. Sad thing is that it will likely become a static museum piece and never used, a shame when the 205 GTI is one of the most talked about 80’s cars for its driving characteristics.

There is amazing condition low mileage classics stored in a nice warehouse but then there is cars that have sat which are actually worse then a high mileage well used model. I would never pay a lot of money for that example above. Especially when an old lady has ragged it. High revs and poor clutch control, you see (and hear it) all the time with older people driving. Most likely when the engine was cold too so for me, I would not touch it.

A car sat outside has a rotten bottom more so then a car being used. I recently looked at a very low mileage van. It had hardly been used but because it had been sat still the rain bounced up from the floor and had kept the underside soaked. Not being used it never seemed to dry as quick. It in turn started some serious corrosion but not spots you could easily see because the entire thing was corroding.

I am not stating it in this case as I have not seen it but I would always be courious especially when they have stated they will coat it with waxoil. Thats amazing at hiding such underlying problems.

heres another premium example with a wonky headlight, wrong spots ,incorrect tailgate, rust, tatty engine bay, worn seats, and LHD, yours for only £10K!!!!
