Has anyone tried turning grey trim black with any dyes and been succesful? Ive ordered some wurth stuff to revive my surviving arch trims but struggling to find good black trims for parts of the car

I had the full grey leathers from the miami blue GTI and I used a liquid dye to change them to black so I can't see any reason why you couldn't use something like that würth stuff to dye a grey trim black.

That wurth stuff ain’t cheap.

But that platicare was the dogs. I’ve still got half bottle left from about 5yrs ago and have used probably the last of it now.

I have used both the Autobright stuff and the Wurth, I found the wurth to be the better of the two but unfortunately it is expensive and over priced in my opinion. Saying that when my current tubes runs out I will probably buy another one.

I have a spare grey door card so going to test it on that when it arrives and have some bits of grey trim kicking about to test on for the plastics :D

My grey ph1 trims and bumpers are now black thanks to the wurth dye. Over a year on they are still black

I wouldn't try it on the door cards you will just wash them in black dye. You need to use it on something more pourus Like the exterior trims

(I've tried it on smooth shiny plastics and it doesn't work)
