Zetec Conversion

has anybody seen or know about any 205s that have had a Zetec engine fitted? I'm looking for info, cheers.

Can I ask why? It would be a lot of hassle and less power than an mi or gti-6 which bolt straight in...

which zetec?  theres loads, anything from 1.25 to 2.3 iirc.

 

a 14 or 1600 would be cool as they're alloy blocked and can make good power, forward facing inlet too so you can just about get a nice long inlet in a 205 bay I'd imagine (they sit almost bolt upright, so I'm not sure if bonnet clearance would be a problem, not sure if its shorter than a TU5.)

 

As for an 1800 or a 2.0 see above.

Any particular reason why?

 

I was under the impression that the 1.8 and 2.0 Zetecs can make good power on bodies. A duratech maybe a better idea though....
