Mi16 Be3 Gearbox Or Xsara Vts Box

Been after a mi16 be3 gearbox for ages just can't find one what I want to know is a xsara vets box how close to a mi16 box and how easy is one to fit to a 1.9 mi16 engine I mean will my drive sharfts fit without mods etc thanks peter

much the same ratios, minor differences in tooth count on later models.

 

swap the small planet gear diff or an lsd in and the driveshafts will fit fine.

 

fit the standard push type BE3 clutch arm and fork, standard BE3 cable will work then.

As stated

 

The only real difference is a slightly longer 5th gear.

Instead of changing the diff just use a 306 xu inner joint cup I've did this 2years ago and 50k on a old shaft and 2nd hand inner cup still no problems on my mi16.
