I will be swapping the cams on my 1.9 MI16 and intend to change the cam belt.

Are there any preferred suppliers recommended,

thanks in advance.

I use a Gates belt, my motor factor can have it there with them the same day if I order it before 11am.

I have recently bought a dealer timing kit £58+ vat

Didn't think that was too bad

Dayco are OE and what I always use, if you look on Mister Auto a kit is dirt cheap at the moment

I looked at those too - a bit old school when it comes to belts n pumps I always prefer genuine. Kit and pump was just shy of £120 in total from the dealer

Dayco is what you get in the Peugeot OE timing belt kit, or at least that's certainly been the case on the NOS OE cambelt kits I've bought over the years. Look at the manufacturer printed on the belt...

Dayco would be my first choice for that reason, but you won't go wrong with any of the major branded belt kits - Gates and Contitech kits are both good in my experience.
