Gti Red Trim Replacements?

Recommended Posts

Larawin

As per title, my trims are bashes cracked and squashed. I could use them again but as the rest of the car has been painted it would be so much better if they were new. Were can you get them from?

Ive only found 1 replacement, Repro lengths of red trim that is £50 a side

Is there any other alternative?

+1 for the ones from the Peugeot museum in France. I got a full set minus rear bumper (only because I already had one nib) and it was £156 including postage for the 7 pieces. Came nicely packed up in in a wood framed box too.

Hi Paul, yes, PM me your number or email and I will gladly send them to you, as I am travelling at the moment and only have the phone which make posting pics on here a bit more difficult.

They were chrome ones that had been painted. No complaints from me though as they are stiffer and more robust that the originals.

Otherwise, nothing much to add, they come in Peugeot packaging and colour match to originals seems pretty good, though you may not see any slight variation since they don't butt up to in another, as such.

I think there's no stock left on the red trims.  I had a look under the body part section and could only find 1 or 2 of the chrome variants and even then most of them were listed as no or limited stock, so entirely possible the red trims have gone.

Thanks Alex that's a shame as it wasn't any more expensive than the non genuine stuff other places are selling , like the sunroof trims they also have completely vanished and they have removed any trace of the part number as I used to see them when I did a search. You can still but the full arch kit though and you would think if you click on it it would suggest the trims as there is no part number for a full kit to search for. I may drop them a message to see if they are on back order . Id actually like the griffe colour trims but they never listed those and id be loathe to respray new ones , my old ones half are missing and only the front bumper one could be called half decent, the rest have multiple small dents as they were off the car when I got it.
