1.9 Head Gasket Parts Recognize Help

Hello

I recently acquired a full rebuild kit to Gti and

Took the car to a local mechanic to replace it

Parts have letters next to them are parts that we don't know where they go - would love any help

You usually end up with parts left over, as the head gasket kits are generic 8v XU and hence have gaskets and seals which aren't applicable for the multipoint injection engines like GTi's.

 

A is the thermostat housing gasket

B is the inlet manifold gasket for carb models

C is the inlet to throttle body gasket for XU9J2 models (I think)

D I think is the gasket for the mechanical fuel pump on carb models

E I'm not sure

F looks like the thermostat seals for earlier models (late ones used a single seal that surrounds the thermostat)

G I can't quite make out

E is the gasket for the blanking plate below the distributor on some thermostat housings.

I wouldn't expect those to be supplied in a head gasket set though - they'd normally be in a block gasket set if anything.
