Ok, so been looking for a car this last year or so, nothing really stood out, was to far away etc. Got in contact with a fella who had one stood in his garage this last few years, wasn't advertised. He said he had plans for it but moved away and just hadn't the time. When he got it he put timing belt kit on it and serviced it before parking it away.

It's got a full Peugeot stamped history, 64k genuine miles, folder of MOTS, receipts, original books, 2 previous owners.

The car as it is now is as original. Parcel shelf, clarion radio, original keys, mats, mudflaps.

Boot floor, inner wings, below seats, floor pan all solid, having a car lift is very handy.

All the trims are in great shape as are the lights and driving lamps.

Interior is more or less immaculate bar a few slight blemishes.

Needs a repair on both lower quarter sections but it's not as bad as I thought after having a look.

I was in 2 minds about buying but now if I had of missed it I would have kicked myself. Here's a few pics of when I got it delivered today.

Photobucket giving me technical problems here, trying to sort it lol

That looks very nice. Good to hear it ended up only having rust on those sections of the sills and not in the other common areas. Looks like it just needs a new rear Peugeot badge and a new seat bolster to finish off! Any other plans for it?

If you're looking to clean it up and want inspiration, its worth checking out ATK's thread for his steel grey. I've found myself investing in new parts for mine to finish it off having read through his progress!

Certainly will. I've it up on the lift at home cleaning and Re-sealing front arches. What's the best process for that? Clean, rust protect, seam seal joints then Stonechip?

Looks mint, you got yourself a pension there lol nice clean standard ones are hard to find. I'd be keeping up with the service history just to keep the value in it

Lol you think so? Just needs slight work and it could be near perfect. My plan is to get a carcoon and store it, use it on dry days etc. I really am over the moon with it myself

Get the scuffs on the seats sorted and it all upto mint condition and with service history and low mileage it will be worth a decent amount to someone who wants a nice example because like I said there's not many out there in such a good state

Nice black 205.

Sign yourself up to Servicebox so that you can check and order parts from the dealer. It'll save you a few quid on common ebay parts sellers...

Agree with the above, as an example the grille badge is still available from the dealer for £18.58 and you can often negotiate about 10% off on most dealer parts.

Armed with grinder, drill and various dangerous attachments I've started the underside lol spare wheel and exhaust off, pretty impressed, I've all the boot floor done, just removing old flaking stuff as most of it is intact or would I be better to totally remove? Also once applying bilthamber would I need to seamseal, etch prime before dinitrol or not?

There is an M6 stud sticking through from the inside of the car with a nut in the wheelarch. Go carefully as it will be easy to shear the stud off.
