Clutch Problem Stressed Out

Stupid question but is there any length diffrence in be1 and be3 cables ?? When putting my foot on clutch i cant get any gears and grinds in reverse but when car is turned off i can get all gears ok

I think the be3 is slightly longer. There is a thread somewhere where PeterT shows a bit of a mod to be1 cable to make it work a BE3

What have you done to start? But as long as the arm has the required free play the clutch should work unless the box is coming away from the engine (Common) or the bearing has fallen off

Cheers for the replys guys but i bought a new cable that was slightly longer and it works perfect now i think the cable i had was to short
