How The Ecu Distinguishes Between Fuel Injectors ?

Recommended Posts

idoari
as an electronics engineer i find it very strange that all the fuel injectors are shorted together ( all the left wires on the connects shorted together and all the right wire are shorted together).

so how the ECU communicate with each fuel injector? does the fuel injectors have address saved on them that the ECU sends that address and then the fuel injectors know that it talks to them and not the other?

how it all works?

thanks

Ido

they are batch fired, I.e all at the same time, hence the wiring...

I think its done by a little invisible pixie with a bag of pixie dust that lives under the bonnet.

The fuel sits behind the valve till it opens on batch fire.

Sequential injection controls the injectors independently.

not sure if there's much of a benefit between the two as the process is so fast the fuel is still atomised for batch fire.
