1.6 Gti Bosch Ignition Amp Swap For 1.9 Bosch Amp

I have a spare Bosch ignition amp , grey , 0 227 100 204 , MTR 04 , which Is for a 1.6 GTI I believe and do not need . Would like to swap for a Bosch 1.9 amp , 0 227 100 123 .

Or would be interested in buying one outright if you do not want a swap .

1.6 and 1.9 ignition amps should be the same... should both be MTR01's

I think that is for a 2.0 Mi16 or S16.

Well that's interesting , no idea where that came from - must have come in with a bundle of parts I bought at one time .

I might list it for sale and put a wanted post up as I want a spare Bosch amp as the aftermarket ones are not rated .

Looking on Ebay I have found new Beru ignition amps for a decent price , I have been wary of non Bosch amps before but Beru are made in Germany and their plug leads are very good quality . Has any one tried this make ?
