Unknown Plugs In Loom

Recommended Posts

Gavin Waddell

I am reinstalling a loom in my car, as the old one had been chopped up a bit to much. I have pretty much got everything plug backed in but have five plugs that i dont know where they go. Any one got an idea?

the first four come out near the fuse box

the last one comes out in the centre console ( i know that its not the clock, or thr cigarette lighter

No, that's a four pin brown plug (with only two wires)

i think that red plug (pic 3) is the rear speaker connector that goes to a sub-loom to the rear.

Wire 14 is the dashboard illumination circuit the J is just a location id, connect a bulb to the wires and see if it dims with the lights on while turning the dash lights dimmer

Hey mike

Thanks for your help, you say it plugs into the fuse board, only thing is my fuse board is already full? The loom I'm installing is not the original one I bought it off a forum member. Is there maybe a difference between ph1.5 and ph 2 looms, as I have an extra plug which I reckon is for electric windows.

Perhaps gavin.

I have mailed the drawing to you. The type of fuse board you have will be dependant on the chassis number.

I might be able to dig out the phase two drawings but it will take a few days.

Mike

If you could find the phase 2 that would be great that way I can cross reference the 2.

Thanks again mike
