arwel 43 2 Cars Posted August 4, 2014 Im in need of a new clutch for my mi16 rally car. its a standard engine but has been running a helix paddle clutch. The gearbox failed on the last rally after it lost its oil. In turn the heat went through the clutch and left the centre plate a lovely bluey purple colour so don't fancy putting it back in. im having difficulty in finding a helix paddle for sensible money, there are omp ones on ebay but are they any good? also would a good quality (LUK or Valeo) clutch be up to the job? I never slip the clutch as it has enough low down due to the 4:9cwp so wouldn't take too much abuse. Arwel
welshpug 1,627 Posted August 4, 2014 standard Valeo should suffice, DCC has one in his car and has survived his right foot so far, running similar gearing to you with a plate diff and more torque.
