Throttle Switch

Recommended Posts

I am it need of a throttle switch as mine is not working but what I am wondering is could this be the cause of not wanting to rev up high as I understand the trotter switch cut fuel when closed and makes it richer when fully open so if it's not working when fully open would this cause the sluggish acceleration I get ?

You can test a throttle switch with the info found in the haynes manual & a mulitmeter.

Basically it is closed circuit at idle & full throttle with open circuit inbetween, do you hear a click with the throttle shut?

Is the throttle cable tightened correct so the throttle butterfly is travelling the full 90' with the pedal on the floor?
