Air Flow Meter Settings

i have a 1988 1.9 gti on std injection i have got a 2nd hand air flow meter put on its known to b gd but it has been set up on a previous car on rr to sute a cam what i am wondering is has any one got a pic of the standard spring settings under the cover and idel mixture screw settings so i can return it to std and get it idling better

There isn't a standard setting. Best thing you can do is check the tension of the spring against an AFM that hasn't been tampered with. Then run the setup procedure in the Haynes manual.

 

To set the idle mixture screw you'll need to ideally use an exhaust CO monitor. However, you can guess at it by fine tuning. This guide by AndyCrom is pretty decent...http://forum.205gtidrivers.com/index.php?showtopic=148913&view=&hl=&fromsearch=1
