1600 Gti Toothed Flywheel

Recommended Posts

My knowledge of 8 valves is fairly poor so I've personally no idea on this! can anyone confirm if a 205 1600 gti ever came with a flywheel with the teeth for a crank sensor?

I realise the 1900 did but did the 1600s ever get one in any country? A part no. would be fantastic if they did.

Cheers, Allan

Oh yeah..... bollocks! :( stupid regs dictate a 1600 flywheel must be used rather than a heavier 1900 one?!?! Who writes the s*it really! :lol

I know, I was more meaning a 1900 flywheel isn't exactly a performance upgrade.

Some petty competitor has winged so now a 1600 flywheels gotta go back on and the crank sensor fitted to the other end of the crank. Gotta love racing! :P

Cheers bud!

Does it have to be a GTI, or any 1.6 205?

Because the XU5M engine (1.6 with single-point injection) uses the same flywheel as the Motronic 1.9s.
