Quite likey yes, more recent citroen and peugeot sport builds used thin sheets of lexan to fill any gaps in, though in the main they use standard radiators and cowlings so don't need much alteration.

some may not be standard to that vehicle, but come from another std factory vehichle quite often

It would be great if I could manage to make some ducting like on that maxi but I think anything I can manage will be very crude comparing to that! Looks like some vents in the bonnet would help too looking at that link from kyepan. I have been looking up on different designs of ducting and it looks like it's better to be smaller at the opening and then wider at the rad to force the air in so will attempt to make up something in the next few weeks and hope it works.

I am hoping to get a fibreglass bonnet when I have the money for it so will add some vents then as long as the Motorsport regs allow it.

Just modify the bonnet hinges so that it stays 1 inch higher on the windshield side. If that's not allowed maybe you can cut out some 50mm holes in the sheet between the engine bay and the windscreenwiper motor compartment. That sould allow the engine compartment to breathe better allowing hot air to escape through the plastic grill.
